im gonna teach you kiddies a lesson about vinyls:
cds and mp3 are not able to capture all frequencies, like vinyls do .... they need to neglect frequencies (hiss) so they can be able to record 80 minutes of music, but these frequencies are necessary to give "body" to the sound that remained intact on the vinyl, the sound of the needle in the vinyl creates a sound density cds and mp3s dont have (if you reprudoce a blank cd you will hear nothing)
So it's not a matter of elitism, it's a fact.

How can a needle on plastic create a more accurate sound than a lasor?

While I am definately not a vinyl dork (I can't play my records because my player won't work), you can keep them in good condition and they sound great.
For example, I was able to find an original pressing of Johnny Cash's first sun record, Hot and Blue Guitar, and it sounds just fine. There are NO scratches on the record, and not a bit of static.
$20
I'm gonna buy the other Adore vinyl I see in the local store. Keep one sealed, and one to play.
Seriously, it is a different sound with vinyl.
