It's a word Billy created. In my opinion, it's his own spelling of "stumbling" because there is different meaning attached to the song than the common spelling would suggest. It's sort of like Billy calling his song X.Y.U. instead of Ex Why You? or Siva instead of Shiva. It's a different spelling because it means something different.
