Cobain's bio, Heavier than Heaven by Charles Cross, was definitely worth the read. I think a Layne Stayley biography came out in the last couple of years too, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere yet. i thought it was a good read too...but ive heard a lot of critics say otherwise. they reckon its just a load of bullshit that courtney dribbled to Cross, and that it doesnt represent the truth in any way...im not fussed though. in my opinion it was a good read, and i dont care if that manipulative bitch altered the truth... umm recent books ive read.... Misery- Stephen King....Awesome read!! youve probably all seen the movie, and i can guarantee you the book is ten times better. Trainspotting & Porno- Irvine Welsh...very graphic...trainspotting was about hardcore junkies and porno was about hardcore sex. a very interesting read Scar Tissue- Anthony Kiedis...I truly loved this bio...the thing i love about autobiographies is that the information is (generally) fact cos the person who experienced it is writing it, and you can get more moved by it when the person who has experienced these things is the one writing about it...great read!! The Turning- Tim Winton...good collection of short stories, some were a tease though! and currently...Post Mortem- Ben Elton...so far so good!! its thrilling and funny at the same time

I've been getting into biographies recently. Hence my current read being PORTRAIT OF A KILLER: JACK THE RIPPER.
