bible prophecies have confirmed in me that it is infact the word of God. if you don't believe, fine, you don't have to. but because I do believe that it does come from God, and because it is useable and good for every human life, than it is put on a whole different level than your capitalism theory. that is the point I'm trying to make. Several of Nostradamus's prophecies have come true. Do you take his as the word of God as well?

ah. I thought you were talking about the creation thing. 15 and 16 were just noah building the ark. i didn't think they had any significant point to what we were argueing so I didn't put them in. less for you to read. and what about all the other verses you had to post to show problems? the ones that shown Noah had 7 days to get all the animals in, the ones i finished of ch.6 and part of 7

what kind of prophecies? oh and, what problem do those verses bring up? Noah had 7 days to get the animals on the arc there were a pair 2 animals instead of 7 of each in one part, then changed, and many others, you read about it in another thread quit overlooking it

I thought we've already been over this! why is it that we don't ever seem to agree on how the arguements end?
and Josh, I would have to look into those prophecies, but I do know of prophecies that are outside of God and the bible..... there are verses in the bible to tell what is from God and what isn't. of coarse then you could argue that anyone could say that kind of thing, in which case, I would have to say that It's something I take on faith, which is something very unique in the sense that I know it doesn't come from myself.......hard to explain, but it's like a deep inner feeling that I don't believe could be born of my own self. I didn't decide to be a christian because I believed the bible is the word of God. I became a christian because God showed me, personally, who he was, then showed me that the bible was his word, which was confirmed in my through the prophecies--prophecies of Christ's birth and life, of the israels trials, of God's provision and plans for the world, etc.

The rise of Hitler, the assassination of JFK, the attack on the Twin Towers in New York... thats just a bunch of conspiracy theorists who pull out random lines of nostradamus' writings and say, look this line seems to resemble 9/11....this guy saw the future! honestly i don't buy that.

Even I've read the Bible, and I'm a fucking athiest. It's far more entertaining if your read it a racy children's book.
Brodieman, you rock my socks.

"actually almost all existentialists are atheists becuase they don't believe in after life. "
How are existentialism and the afterlife connected?
I've never heard of that before. I don't believe in an afterlife, but that's the result of logical examination.

well becuase an existenialist focuses on man's emotiong and feelings, making his own morality and doing what he thinks is right for himself.
