for once, i am so ecstatic, we've been assigned a worthy art project. im supposed to gather how i feel on the tsunami and the impacts of it and create a piece that will be auctioned off and sold to benefit the survivors of it. and its due this friday. any creative suggestions? it has to be 2-D

im DONE. all i have to do now is mount and mat it! I decided to do an asian-esque piece, i t isnt busy and intricate and i like how it turned out. i chose watercolors to do it and i water stained the backround with a tanish wash and did an offcenter design enclosing my feelings on the tsunami. Its kind of difficult to explain, so ill just tell you what i wanted to project. i sat down and asked myself how i felt and i feel morosely useless basically. i wanted to bring in the impact and suffering of it but keep it calm and i used some washed down mellow colors to make it feel tragic and placid like water. then i have a subtle tan design running along the side and the thai word for tsunami painted on from the corner. i like how it finished, i hope it doesnt go for like, 50 cents lol.
